The Prayer of the Heart

We don’t “offer” prayers on our own accord; rather, the language of divine love is instilled in us as the Holy Spirit sheds it abroad in our hearts. Then prayer is changed from a monologue to a dialogue that is internal and eternal. This is the prayer of the heart when the mind, with all its busyness descends into the silence of the heart.
