Enoch walked with God because there were no more places left on earth in his time in which to walk. He stepped into, as it were, the desert of the heart—that place of solitude with God that cannot be measured (not even by self); no advancements can be marked; it cannot be possessed or exploited; and therefore cannot be lost. We are invited to walk the way of Enoch in the time and place which have been given to us.”
