Kingdom of God Desert diary from Sunday, February 08, 2004 As I watch my son, I am reminded of that scripture …become like little children for there is the kingdom of God. There are some things I noticed that my son does that remind me how I should be with God. I notice that my son likes to focus and look at light and isn’t Jesus called the light of the world. My son also likes to focus on my face and he turns his head to wherever my voice is. So like children maybe we need to look to the light, focus on His face and turn our ears to His voice. I also notice how my son just rests in my arms trusting me not to let go and let him fall. We need to just rest in the arms of our Lord in total faith that He will hold us and not let go of us. We need to totally depend on Him. The last thing I noticed is how my son can sleep and rest in all circumstances. He will sleep when there is complete silence and when there is a large football band playing. We need to learn to rest even when the world around us is in chaos or when there is peace in our lives.
