Straw Bale Building Updates - Lots of Progress

We are getting close to getting the stucco done. We've not had that
much time to work on it, but we've been getting around 10 loads on the
walls each week. David & Marsha along with Sal have been the main
workforce for this phase, since Greg has been working pretty hard at his
software development job.
Bill & Kirsten came to visit from the cool Northeast of the country
and helped for several days!

This is the last section on the outside that we need to
stucco. Almost done!! |
 |
We had to double up the scaffold on this side since it was so
tall. |
 |
This is the 1st and part of the second coat of stucco on the
Morrison's bedroom. It's going to look great when we get the
off-white stucco coloring on it. It is supposed to let the walls
breath better than paint. |
 |
Here is a larger niche that Marsha carved into the wall with
the back of hammer. She then used diamond lathe to form the
curves, and then applied the stucco. |

Prayer Garden |

St. Frances found a new home. Linda and Rose did a great job
with some bricks that Deanna's father had left over after some
yard renovations. They look great around the tree. |

Corn is coming up and it tastes great. I'm not sure how
effective the scare crow is, but the garden has been beautiful
this year. |
 |
Linda and Rose put together this sign post in honor of the
"Summer of Love". It's just for fun, don't take any offense by
it. :) |
