Here Marsha is working on the first
coat called the "scratch coat". There are generally 3 coats
applied.
This was our experimental section. Since it'll eventually be
a the inside of a storage area, we figured that it would be a
good place to practice our technique.
We also put the outer frame around the windows and sealed
them up. The stucco goes up and over the window sealer. We'll
paint the frame a southwest accent color when we are done.
(Probably Red, green, or blue.)
Here is a view of the corner we've been working on with the
first 2 coats on. We have the finish coat left to apply, then we
are going to wash on a brown coloring.
Here is another view of the side we almost have done. You
can also see the shed we've been beating up. In hind site, it'd
probably have been best to move that out of the way. :)
Cleaning up the stucco tools. This was about March (note the
snow on the Organ Mts).
