A Prayer for the People of Myanmar

Father, when the powerful oppress the weak
and the even more powerful ignore injustice:

Hear the cry for freedom in a land under tyranny

Jesus, when the shepherds are struck down
and the sheep are scattered about:

Hear the cry for healing in a wounded land

Spirit, when darkness pours over people like a flood--
Make your people a fury of light defeating fear:

Hear the cry for your Kingdom Rain of Justice

Father, Son, and Spirit Holy
