Son of God (a poem by Fillip Fierro)

SAVIOR

Son of God. Precious Son of man
Born in the little town of Bethlehem

Alpha and Omega. Beginning and end
You lived to die for all our sin.

Violently executed on that cross
Giving Your life to save the lost

I am the Way, the Truth and the Life
Freely, Beloved, I pay the price

Only Begotten, sweet Son of God
Rejected by an angry mob

Release Him? Crucify Him?
Crucify Him! They scream.

Forsaken. Brokenhearted.
His blood does stream.

Savior, O my Savior
In You I believe
Hallelujah! He’s alive
And given us eternity.
