I Have A Dream

the reason i say i have a dream is because the dream I had about 7 months ago has not left me,,, in fact it is a on going extended dream .........

I recall walking along a beach - it was dusk ( perhaps because that is my favorite time of the day) it wasn't dark ...... the sun was just setting
i recall looking down at the sand and it was wet as if the tide had just glazed over it

i was very zealous that i was having a chance to catch fish.... yes i did realize that Jesus was there.. and  in fact it felt like the experience his disciples felt

I looked out on the water for the boats... anxious to take my position in this great
time in the future  ( parallel with the past ) obvious

I saw no boats I only saw the sky darkening - it just went on - water... water...
vast and deep - no boundaries no limits ... intimidating

it began to get cold and i could see my footprints in the sand
sinking
cold
wet
alone

why was i here
it wasn't what was promised... was it ??

I began to walk around a little disturbed when I heard a loud voice
 ARE YOU READY TO CATCH FISH ?

 I was at this time cold, hungry, angry and embarrassed  and afraid - afraid of what that vast sea held for me - with no boat to stand in - nothing to carry me

 ARE YOU READY TO CATCH FISH

 then i suddenly realized there were multitudes of fish on the beach - beautiful shiny fish - dying
distraught

right beside me - right in my grasp - yet I stood  frozen in time

they are dying  - my heart said - not my mind

I began to run around - sand flying at my feet I grabbed what I could and I only knew to throw them back 

JUST MAYBE THEY ARE STILL ALIVE  I thought

I felt them move in my hands - just a little  - enough to know there was still life there
enough to know that they still had a chance

I felt God's presence there watching me - as if he were nodding .. " YES LISA "
