Doctor My Eyes
(Posted 5/7/08)
The love I have for You has made a long travel.
In the tunnel of my vision I've been exposed prematurely to the
harshness of love, life, and freedom. There are places and things my
eyes have seen that even I don't understand. Still I go on
collecting clues for the future from the past confirming the truth
in this present moment. My eyes have seen to me a lot of angers,
prejudices, faults and failures that make me walk with a limp. I
won't allow any others this close walk I give to you: however
distant I can seem. This love must belong to you only; I know what
someone else would do with it. My old eyes are hurt and tired,
bitter and sad. My young eyes are curious and fearless, hypnotic and
lustful. My new eyes are wise and silent, and pure in love. All my
eyes have images of you in them. Though sick or tired; my eyes are
on you. These painful images of you make my heart pray.
